How will I receive my HAF eligibility?
HAF eligibility and the booking process can vary depending on your local authority. Please see the information for your area below.
Leicestershire
Leicestershire no longer issues HAF voucher codes via email or through your child’s school. Eligibility is checked directly by the Leicestershire County Council HAF Team when you book through the Leicestershire Eequ booking system.
To be eligible, children must meet Leicestershire’s HAF eligibility criteria, including being in receipt of the relevant benefits related/Targeted Free School Meals.
HAF funded spaces are available during the Easter, Summer and Winter school holidays for a selected number of sessions.
Rutland
Eligible families can book HAF activities through the Rutland Eequ booking system. You do not need to pre-register; an account can be created when making your first booking, and eligible children will be allocated HAF credits to use towards funded sessions.
HAF funded spaces are available during the Easter, Summer and Winter school holidays for a selected number of sessions.
Staffordshire
Eligible families will receive a HAF code directly from Staffordshire County Council, usually by email or letter.
You will need to enter this code when booking your child’s funded HAF sessions through the Eequ booking system. Please ensure that you enter the correct code when booking, as an incorrect or invalid code may result in your child’s HAF space being rejected.
HAF funded spaces are available during the February, Easter, Summer, October, and Winter school holidays for a selected number of sessions.
Suffolk
HAF places are available for eligible school aged children who meet Suffolk’s HAF eligibility criteria. HAF funded spaces are available to children receiving Targeted Free School Meals, rather than those who are eligible through the Expanded Free School Meals offer.
Bookings for our Suffolk HAF provision are made through the Babergh & Mid Suffolk Eequ booking system.
If you are unsure whether your child qualifies, please contact your child’s school or Suffolk County Council for further information.
HAF funded spaces are available during the February, Easter, May, Summer, October, and Winter school holidays for a selected number of sessions.
Important HAF Eligibility Information
HAF eligibility criteria changed from September 2026. This means that even if your child has previously been eligible for HAF funded spaces, they may not necessarily be eligible for future holiday periods.
Children must meet the relevant eligibility criteria set by their local authority, including being in receipt of the relevant benefits related/Targeted Free School Meals. Eligibility through the wider Expanded Free School Meals offer does not automatically mean that your child is eligible for HAF.
If you are unsure whether your child is eligible, please contact your child’s school or your local council for further information.
All HAF funded spaces are subject to availability and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
Last minute spaces may occasionally become available due to cancellations. Please do not arrive at the holiday camp unless your child’s HAF booking has been confirmed through the Eequ booking system.
Your local authority has the final decision regarding your child’s HAF eligibility. TayPlay Activity Camps is unable to override an eligibility decision made by the council. If your child’s HAF booking is rejected due to eligibility, please contact your local authority’s HAF team directly for further information
